Welcoming Pastor Blake Boys and Family

by Pastor David

We are thrilled to welcome Blake Boys and his family to Grace Church of the Valley. Blake has just finished his first full week as a pastor here and we are excited to have him here and working. Blake will be giving the majority of his time overseeing our Sunday worship as he chooses songs, arranges the service order, shepherds the music and sound teams, leads rehearsals, develops musicians, works with facilities, and more. Blake will also be giving time to our media, including our website, app, social media, and audio and video resources. In addition, Blake will help plan and administrate events.

Blake has been serving as the Pastor of Music and Media since January 19, 2015. He was raised in Bear Valley Springs, California where he began leading worship as a high school student. Blake attended The Master's College where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in Music: Theory and Composition. After graduating from college, he and his wife, Bekah, moved to Sonoma County, California to serve as the worship leaders in a church plant led by Blake's former youth pastor and longtime friend. It was during that time God made it more clear to Blake and Bekah that He was calling them to full-time vocational ministry. Blake’s first full-time ministry was at Lakeside Bible Church in Montgomery, Texas, where he served for over seven years. Blake's passion is worshiping God through music and media and seeing others come to know Christ more through God's work in the local church. Blake and Bekah were married in 2004 and have three children; Owen, Lucy and Mae.

While Blake and his family continue to adjust to a lot of change, we’re looking forward to serving together in 2015.

“Our family is more than excited to finally be in California! We thank God for Grace Church of the Valley and all of the support and love we have already received from you as we move into the area. My passion is to glorify God with you by lifting our voices in praise and thanks to our Redeemer. I long to see people come to know Christ and grow in Christ through the ministry of God’s local church and can’t wait to be a part of what God is doing in and through Grace Church. Thank you for already loving our family so well. May God be glorified as we worship Him together in the months and years to come!”

In Christ,

Blake Boys
