HUME ROSTER INVITE
If you haven't yet, please accept the roster invitation (look for an email from hume) and fill out the paperwork as soon as possible. If you are having trouble with the process, please call Hume directly at (559) 305-7770. This needs to be completed as soon as possible!

HEALTH SCREENING - NOT IN PERSON
We are changing the health screening process this year. Because Hume has simplified the health screening form, we will NOT be doing an in-person health screening. Here is what you need to do:

  • Please click here to view the form.

  • If, 24 hours prior to camp, your answer to either question is "Yes," email sarah@graceofthevalley.org.
    - If your camper is sick, he/she will have to go to camp late.
    - If your camper has been exposed to someone who is sick, they can still attend camp normally but may be sent home if they get sick at camp.

HUME SENDOFF - Sunday, June 7, 11:45 am
On Sunday, June 7, we will go to camp! If your camper is riding the provided bus please make sure to be at Grace Church of the Valley (1101 Marion St) no later than 11:45 am. When you arrive on campus, please check in at the appropriate camp table. We will be loading buses at noon once everyone is accounted for.

  • Luggage
Please label your camper's luggage with their name, "Grace Church of the Valley," and the camp they are attending (Wagon Train or Meadow Ranch).

  • Medication
Turn in any medication that your camper will be taking to camp when you check in at the camp table. If your camper is NOT riding the bus but DOES have medication, please email sarah@graceofthevalley.org to make arrangements. Our counselors must have all medication on the roster accounted for when they arrive at Hume (with the exception of epipens and rescue inhalers).

  • Mail
If you would like to send mail up to camp, you may drop off envelopes or small boxes (no large boxes or gift bags please) on Sunday at the appropriate camp table check in.

  • At Hume - 2:00 pm (click here for the map)
If you are driving your camper up to Hume, please plan to meet your counselors at the following spot at 2:00 pm:
    Wagon Train: Bus Turnaround
Meadow Ranch: Deck outside the Meadow Coffee Shop (by the tire swing)
Ponderosa: In front of the Ponderosa chapel.

POLICY INFORMATION

  • No Phone Policy - Meadow Ranch
Junior-high students will not be allowed to have their phones at camp. We advise that they should leave phones at home. If they do bring their phone to camp their counselors will hold them for the week and return them when we arrive back to Grace Church of the Valley. If you have any questions about this policy, please contact Caleb Hamilton (559) 967-1853.

  • Prank Policy
Pranks are NOT allowed. There will be a zero-tolerance policy with pranks. In order to honor the Lord, love our neighbor, and respect Hume's facilities, if any student engages in pranks we will send them home immediately and parents will need to come pick them up at Hume. If your student causes any damages at Hume, you will be liable to pay. We want students to have fun and enjoy camp, so please speak with your students about this. If you have any questions, please talk to James Prendergast at (310) 346-1151.

RETURNING HOME - Saturday, June 13

  • If your camper is riding the bus home, please pick them up at Grace Church of the Valley at 10:30 am.

  • If you are picking your camper up AT Hume Lake, you MUST arrive by 8:00 am. If you are late, your camper will be riding the bus home. No exceptions.

  • If your transportation plans have changed from what you initially said on the final payment form, please email sarah@graceofthevalley.org.
