Matthew 12:9-21

September 6, 2009 Series: Matthew: Life in the Kingdom

Topic: Morning Worship Service Passage: Matthew 12:9–12:21

Conflict is the constant theme in Matthew 12, but there is a glorious hope in this Sabbath conflict–Jesus Christ. He is the suffering Servant of the Father, the Messiah King who serves the will of His Father in heaven, and He is the Lord of the Law who fulfills and interprets the Law perfectly. This Jesus is both the center and answer to the legalist’s greatest conflict: will righteousness be earned by Adam’s humanity or by the substitutionary work of the Second Adam? Join Adam as he leads our study of this legalism crushing Christ!
