Did you know that Grace Church of the Valley is a Distance Location for the Master’s Seminary based out of Los Angeles? As a church, we are committed to doing our part in training the next generation of faithful pastors who will continue the legacy of faithfully preaching God’s word and shepherding people. We believe that the combination of seminary training combined with local church life and ministry is a strong combination to help train the whole man for the task of pastoring in the local church. In the words of a current student at our site, “The Distance Locations of TMS are the gold mine of pastoral training.”

I knew I needed more than just a degree. Looking back, what I needed was to be placed in a healthy church, fed the word of God, instructed in biblical doctrine, and given opportunities to practice my gifting by serving the local church. TMS Central Valley has provided those items for me and much more. I cannot express enough the value of being taught by world class instructors on one day, then literally walking into the context of the local church and putting into practice what you learned the very next day.  TMS Central Valley has made the commitment to provide what is necessary for these goals to be accomplished.  From degree planning to a wonderful facility, the staff and elders at GCV have answered the directive from scripture to “equip the saints” (Ephesians 4:12).  As I near the end of my seminary training, I can see that the many opportunities given to me at the distance location have created a blend of pastoral training that you can’t find online. I rejoice that God is faithful, he knew what I needed and placed me in an environment that has prepared me for a future in ministry.
