The Purpose

Summerfest and Kidsfest exist to strengthen families through the teaching of the Word, fellowship, and worship together. Our aim is to exalt the Lord by the teaching of his Word to both adults and children, specifically to allow them to hear and respond to the Good News. We also seek to reach out to unbelievers in the valley as GCV members intentionally invite and engage with unbelievers at Summerfest. Finally, these summer nights provide a platform for continued discussions within families and among fellow believers.

The Plan

Grace Church of the Valley hosts Summerfest each Wednesday evening for five weeks. Each night includes pool time for the children, games, and dinner for the whole family. After dinner, children ages 0–—12 will enjoy Kidsfest, which includes teaching, games, and crafts. Meanwhile, adults will hear from special guest speakers teaching from God’s Word. This year it will be held at a beautiful setting on the King’s River at Mike and Lori Jackson’s home.

What You Can Do

Consider the following areas on the next page where you could best serve. You can sign up using the Information Card in the bulletin or online at graceofthevalley.org/summerfest-servant-meeting. We also encourage you to attend our Summerfest Servant Meeting on Tuesday, May 8. Finally, get the word out! Invite your family, friends, and neighbors. Next week we will have invitation cards for you to pass out to others.
