Jose Alcivar
Pastor of Spanish Ministries
Jose Alcivar was born and raised in Ecuador. Although he grew up attending an evangelical church, it was in his twenties that the Lord saved him. From that moment, he shifted his focus from business administration to biblical studies. He began his theological training online through the Diploma in Bible and Theology program at the Institute for Expositors of Grace Community Church (GCC) in Sun Valley, CA. After three years, he was accepted into The Master’s Seminary, where he completed a Master of Divinity in 2018.
After serving for several years as an elder in a local church in Ecuador, Jose began pursuing a Master of Theology in 2022, which he is currently completing.
He has been married to Francesca for 12 years, and the Lord has blessed them with three daughters: Natalia (7), Olivia (3), and Alina (8 months). Jose has been actively involved in teaching and preaching at GCC, regularly serving in the Spanish ministry. Additionally, he has had the opportunity to serve as instructor to the spanish-speaking students at The Master’s Seminary.
As the Pastor of Spanish Ministries, Jose’s passion is to serve the Hispanic community with the gospel and biblical instruction, desiring to see them grow in obedience and love for Christ.
